With watersports photography, you run the risk of damaging equipment worth thousands of pounds, so is it worth it?
Yes, because the shots you’ll take will be out of this world. You will spend your days in the sun riding in a speedboat taking pictures brimming with emotion, fun and laughter.
It’s action-packed photography on a regular basis, but there are ways in which you can protect your camera gear. Many lenses and DSLRs can fit into waterproof cases whilst still operating well. Some waterproof cases even allow you to go beneath the water, but obviously not too deep otherwise, the camera components can break. DSLRs may be expensive, but that doesn’t mean waterproof cases and covers can’t protect them. And you’ll certainly need these if you want to carve a career in watersports photography.
